Período de Inscrição: de 16 de julho de 2009 até 25 de setembro de 2009.
Categorias: Arte, Entretenimento, Animação e Manga.
As inscrições são destinadas a trabalhos que utilizam mídias digitais (computador, vídeo, internet…) em sua construção. A competição abarca tanto trabalhos profissionais, amadores e/ou comerciais.
Os prêmios são divididos entre: 1 Grande Prêmio (certificado + 600,000 yen), 4 Prêmios por Excelência (certificado + 300,000 yen), 1 Prêmio Incentivo (certificado + 150,000 yen) e 1 Prêmio Especial (destinado ao artista que fez contibuições significantes para o campo da arte midiática).
A exposição ocorrerá entre 3 de fevereiro de 2010 a 14 de fevereiro de 2010 no Centro Nacional de Arte (The National Art Center) em Tokyo, Japão.
Elegibilidade da participação:
- Os trabalhos devem ter sido realizados entre 27 de setembro de 2008 até 25 de setembro de 2009. Trabalhos que foram atualizados durante este período também podem participar.
- Com respeito a categoria Manga, trabalhos que foram expostos em revistas também são aceitos.
- Os trabalhos podem ser profissionais, amadores e/ou comerciais.
- Temas, conteúdos e técnicas são livres.
- Não há restrições quanto ao número de projetos enviados. Todavia um mesmo projeto não pode estar inscrito em mais de uma categoria.

Notas Importantes (em inglês):
- In principle, a submission will not be returned. Please also note that an applicant will not receive a confirmation of the submission.
- Although there is no application fee, all costs incurred in connection with the application will be borne entirely by the applicant.
- Although we (the organizers) will do our utmost to treat the submission with the respect it deserves, please be aware that we will pay no compensation whatsoever for any unexpected damage or loss that might occur. (If necessary, we recommend that you arrange to have your entry insured.)
- We will not respond to any inquiries concerning the screening process or the results of the contest.
- The copyright of any award-winning works will belong to the applicant. In order to announce the results of the contest and engage in other relevant activities, we reserve the right to publicly screen, broadcast, reproduce, print, exhibit, or otherwise distribute the work, or upload the work to the official website at no charge, and the applicant shall consent thereto. The same shall apply in the event that PR for the award-winning works exhibition, hosting a traveling exhibition and screening, publicity for Japan Media Arts Festival, or similar event is undertaken.
- All applicants must hold the copyrights of the applying works or must have permission from the copyright holders to apply the works to the festival.
- When the applying work contains art works such as art, film, photography, or music which have copyrights, the applicants have to obtain permission to use the art works from the copyright owner before submitting. In the event that an assertion of infringement of right or claim for compensation is made by a third party, the applicant will be required to respond on his or her own responsibility. We accept no responsibility whatsoever for the contents of the submitted work.
- The applicant shall be deemed to have agreed to these contest regulations on submitting his or her work.
